Recently, I have tried to make the transition from using traditional tools to illustrate, to producing work which has a commercial print quality look. This new working method has allowed me to represent my ideas with more ease and clarity. My ideas are often based on personal interests such as comics, videogames, places I’ve been to, and my local environment. And I also like to incorporate surreal and collaged elements into my work.
Every piece I do takes a lot of time to draw and colour, as I have a lot of passion for conveying the intended vision I wish to put down on paper from the start. I like creating visually dynamic work which captivates the viewer, but I always try to find more powerful and vibrant ways of illustrating particular subjects, as well as adapting myself into the requirements of the quality of contemporary illustration.
I feel confident with my style and, with this, I would like to explore fusing cultural and architectural elements from various cities in order to create surreal and imaginative environments, with the aid of my own sources e.g photography, with character design being a separate avenue of interest.
