Guillaume Cornet

Guillaume Cornet aka “Mr Guil” is an energetic and enthusiastic Illustrator. He was born in Paris and currently lives and works in London. He studied Fine Art at the Arts Institute at Bournemouth and then moved on to study Illustration for Sequence and Interaction at Camberwell College of the Arts.

His Creative work began within the French graffiti scene. Then expanded to Graphic Design, Drawing, Painting and Sculpture to finally specialise in Illustration. His drawings are painstakingly intricate and imaginative with a touch of surreal ignorance style. He tends to experiment with all techniques and media that capture his interests. Adapting his drawings to the lines and marks generated involuntarily, he creates unique compositions, preferably working with a black ink pen. The creatures growing in his sketchbooks, often pose in uncomfortable positions with inaccurate proportions.
