Andrew Thorpe

Since studying Illustration Andrew has experimented with various illustrative styles using different techniques and methods with a versatile approach to his work.
He approaches his illustration with a comical edge, portraying daily life and personal experiences including dreams and thoughts.
Massively inspired by early comics like the Beano, Dandy and Dennis the Menace. Andrew creates humorous outcomes often accompanied by a psychedelic tone enticing you into his imaginary world.

Over the last year of the FdA, Andrews has discovered a little obsession for screen-printing, spending hours in the sweat box that they call the foundation screen-printing room, tucked away somewhere in Camberwell. Mainly trying to make himself some money
producing t-shirts.

Andrew has also just recently achieved the ISTD International Society of Typographic Designers Award.
