Paul Schneider
My interests lie in the potential of the undefined statement like a sentence with key words missing.
As language is traditionally seen as a definitive form of communication, by missing key parts and juxtaposing these with physical elements it allows the possibility of alternative narratives to be brought to the work.
I want to cause an encounter or meeting with the viewer; something that seems unsettled. As a result I split up the pictorial space, as if works inhabit a stage or film set.
