The Artist has been accepted to continue at Camberwell on an MA in printmaking where she will further explore the British character and bring that into silkscreen and installation.
‘Happy Bunnies’ is a retrospective look at Britain and the camaraderie that existed during the Blitz. In austere times how Londoners ‘kept their chin up’ yet underneath lay the continued denial of extreme trauma that was to reverberate through the next decades as “one did not talk of such things”.
So a view from our chattering, confessional, contemporary world into our history where indeed the “past is another country”.
