The formal garden – a space of the recreational and occasional over the functional – is an environment in which the solicitation of the eye gives rise to both an active visitor and contemplative viewer.

By combining discourses of reproduction, construction and display I am attempting to engage with structures inherently related to the spatiality of vision.
