Hana Uchida
Archetypes, symbolic forms and lines show my interest in bringing images closer to my memories and dreams, where details and meanings of objects are recognizable but yet simpler than reality in terms of visualizations.
The motifs and themes I present in my paintings come from images I photographed while travelling, something I do quite often to discover new and unfamiliar sceneries and inspiration. People in different environments and cultures, animals and landscapes entice my curiosity, and trigger thoughts and imaginations that bring new ideas to life.
