Alex Vardy-Meers
The artists work looks towards the possibilities present within earth’s rebirth, after the potential change we are entering. Looking at our familiarity and attachments to public facilities, reflecting on how structured we are as a society. Also at how the geometric structures of the man-made contrasts with the seemingly random growth of nature. As technology fades into the past, nature reclaims its space again. His paintings suggest the choices that are available to us, through social and independent instinctual survival. Creating a view into a new life that isn’t foreboding, but an intriguing new approach to happiness
All paintings are made from handmade paint, mixed with various concoctions of mediums when emphasis is important, these may include ingredients such as dammar varnish, bees wax and venice turpentine.
