Simon Memel

I work in a range of different media but have most often found myself using printmaking processes. I like that whilst long print runs allow me to be less retentive with my work, the inconsistencies that exist between prints sets each apart from the rest.

I’m interested in unusual letter constructions and also testing what can be recognised as a letterform.

I spent the first term of my 3rd year handpainting shop signs, this is an area in which I plan to continue working with my friend Clark Keately under the name ‘Aplomb Signpainters’.

I look forward to progressing further with my work and exploring different techniques of getting it seen.
