Jess Coatesworth

Jess is a designer who has a significant interest in craft, and craft traditions. The majority of her work has a historical basis, often re-working classic texts into a modern form.
i.e. “The Metamorphosis” by Kafka
“The System of Dr. Tarr & Professor Fether” by Poe (below)

This love of historical art and design extends to type, where she has undergone research into fraktur typefaces, including illuminated editions.

Jess is also a freelance bookbinder and box maker.
