My final project was to conserve a 16th century leather bound book that has hand-painted watercolour illustrations. It had been badly water damaged when a pipe leaked in its old store room, leaving large tidemarks and some pigment offset. The binding was also broken, and the book required re-sewing and re-backing as well as cleaning.
