Description

My work celebrates domestic appliances, the kitchen, mixers and blenders, dishwashers on castors – like trolleys being wheeled to the table.
Machines and its rounded parts and corners, thermostats, motors, gearboxes and electrical systems inspire my work. I can play with them and by modifying them I make them fun and economical to use. Most of the materials I use is recycled; found in flea markets, in skips, on the streets. I always love to be able to give them a new life and a new home.

My Power Saving Refrigerator Larder uses cold from outside the house during wintertime to keep food safely and economically, conserving electricity and reducing CO2 emissions. By developing and constructing a fridge that saves power, albeit a drop in the ocean compared to, say, motor vehicles or aircraft, I hope to have contributed to a means of achieving conservation and doing something beneficial for the environment – and which saves money for those who use it!
